This is an exciting chance to join a new project and team at a major Perth mental health service as a Consultant in Addiction Psychiatry.
Here, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and provide high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance misuse.
As part of the integrated service, you will play a pivotal role in offering comprehensive, patient-centred care for patients. Your expertise will support patients undergoing detoxification, both in the inpatient and outpatient settings, and you will offer clinical leadership to nursing teams and other medical staff.
You’ll have the chance to educate and mentor junior doctors, participate in research, and contribute to service improvement initiatives. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for patient-centered care, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Selection criteria
- FRANZCP or training completed in NZ, UK, Ireland, USA or Canada.
- Significant experience in addictions psychiatry.
- Experience in teaching, quality improvement, and other clinical governance activities is also important.
