Location

  1. Incredible housing options - options include affordable beach side houses or apartments, large acreages, hobby farms, large villas, houses with stables etc.
  2. Genuinely unique and beautiful environment: white sandy beaches, ancient rainforests, whale watching and the iconic Fraser Island. 
  3. 3 hrs drive to Brisbane or a 45 minute flight for a weekend or for domestic and international transfers (e.g. direct to Singapore or Dubai).

 

 

Job scope 

You will deliver first class care in a rich mix of settings: inpatient, outpatient and HITH.  You will provide leadership within a MDT context, ensuring all relevant staff work collaboratively, focused on delivering the best possible care available. As a clinical leader it is expected you will make yourself available to mentor, teach and train relevant staff whilst maximising your own professional development opportunities. In terms of patient care, you will take full responsibility for them including supervision of admissions, transfers and patient discharges. Further, you will be happy to provide outreach services to regional communities. 

 

 

Essential criteria:

  1. FRANZCP or equivalent specialist training completed in UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ , South Africa, Sri Lanka. If Sri Lankan training you must have completed international placement in Australia or New Zealand.
  2. Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. HITH will also be useful. 
  3. Excellent clinical leadership skills within a MDT context.
  4. Willingness to participate in internal teaching programs. 
  5. Interest in clinical governance, quality/continual improvement initiatives. 
  6. First class verbal and written communication skills.
