This mental health service is one of the largest in metropolitan Perth. It covers a wide and diverse area. The Royal Perth Hospital has a tertiary level ED and a substantial mental health consultation liaison service. A new Emergency Centre was commissioned in 2019 and a new mental health inpatient unit will open this year. The service has 3 community services across this region of Perth providing care to adult and old age populations.

Selection criteria

*FRANZCP or training completed in the UK or Ireland, USA, NZ, Canada, South Africa, Sri Lanka. If trained in Sri Lanka you must have completed your international placement in Australia or New Zealand. 

*Experience in a broad range of adult psychiatry settings. 

*If a SIMG, to satisfy RANZCP requirements, you will have completed 6months in child & adolescent psychiatry during your training and have at least 2.5yrs FTE of consultant experience at time of reading. 

*Demonstrated interest in teaching and supervision of DiT.

*A commitment to clinical governance.

*First class communication skills.
