Redland Hospital in Brisbane, Queensland is the major health centre for Redland City and Brisbane’s southern bayside suburbs. They provide excellent care in a number of specialties including general medicine and surgery, cardiology, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, renal dialysis and paediatrics.
The governing health board provides care for 1m people - about 23% of Queensland’s population.
The department of anaesthesia provides services for procedures within theatre and endoscopy, outpatient procedures such as cardioversion, TOE, pre assessment clinics and acute paid rounds. They have requirements for Consultant Anaesthetists with interests in obstetrics and can hire overseas trained anaesthetists in this metropolitan hospital. Responsibilities will include teaching and training, clinical governance and quality improvement activities as well as clinical supervision of junior clinical staff. You will also participate in the on-call roster etc.
If you do not have FANZCA applicants who have completed training in Ireland, UK, NZ, Canada or USA will be highly regarded.
