Bathurst Hospital provides care to over 60,000 people and the Emergency Department sees over 32,000 patients per year. The hospital is a modern, healthcare campus. Bathurst is 2.5hrs west of Sydney and is a university town with excellent transport connectivity including a domestic airport. There is a 7 bed combined ICU / HDU / CCU that supports complex surgery and medicine. Surgical services include day surgery, general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, O&G, and ophthalmology.

Selection criteria

*FACEM or equivalent gained in the UK, Ireland, NZ, USA, Canada or South Africa. 

 *Proven team leadership experience.

*First class communication and collaborative skills.

*Commitment to clinical excellence and governance. 

*Willingness to participate in teaching.

 *Commitment to maintaining your own continuing professional development.

*High level clinical knowledge and ability to apply concepts in practical situations in accordance with contemporary evidence-based best practice in EM whilst managing resources and competing priorities.
