This emergency department has 35,000 presentations per year with approx. 20% of this being paeds. There are 3 iso, 1 negative pressure room, 2 resus bays and 24/7 ICU. There are great opportunities in this hospital for emergency medicine specialists with a range of interests. There’s a rich choice of clinical lead openings to choose from - e.g. in simulation or ultrasounds. The nursing team is incredibly supportive of the specialists.

Selection criteria
*FACEM or specialist training completed in either Ireland, UK, NZ, South Africa, Canada or USA.
*Demonstrated ability to provide strategic and clinical leadership to a developing ED.
*Demonstrated ability to competently work as an expert consultant in Emergency Medicine.
*Sound clinical judgement and decision-making skills .
*A commitment to continuing professional education and development.
*A willingness to teach others, including interns, junior medical officers and undergraduate medical students.
*High level verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work and liaise with junior and senior medical staff, and other health professionals.
*Proven ability to practice in a cross-cultural environment
