Job scope
- Deliver first class care in a rich mix of settings: inpatient, outpatient and HITH.
- Provide leadership within a MDT context, ensuring all relevant staff work collaboratively, focused on delivering the best possible care available.
- Mentor, teach and train relevant staff whilst maximising your own professional development.
- Take full responsibility for supervision of admissions, transfers and patient discharges. Participate in providing outreach services to regional communities. You will also help develop new systems, policies and procedures which improve healthcare services, development and implementation of safety, engagement in improvement initiatives and related training.
Essential criteria
- FRANZCP or equivalent specialist training completed in UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ , South Africa
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings in adult psychiatry.
- Excellent clinical leadership skills within a MDT context.
- Willingness to participate in internal teaching programs.
- Interest in clinical governance, quality/continual improvement initiatives.
- First class verbal and written communication skills.
