This hospital and health service delivers care to a population of approx. 80,000 people in one of the most prosperous coastal regions of Australia. The health campus has 280 beds across two facilities which house a stand alone ICU, expanded emergency medicine and cancer care centre.
As Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine/Intensivist your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- provide clinical management of the ICU whilst liaising with other specialties.
- support all medical and nursing colleagues in the delivery of care.
- educate, mentor and supervise relevant staff and colleagues.
- be an enthusiastic advocate for CPD - for yourself and colleagues.
- leading in respect to the delivery of ICU services within the health service and the ongoing formulation of policy.
You will
- be eligible for registration with AHPRA.
- hold either FCICM or equivalent.
- have first class verbal and written communication skills.
- have a personable and collaborative working style.
- be experienced within MDT settings.
- be experienced in quality improvement activities.
