Hospital and Department
The employer is a regional public hospital and Health Service for a region of Victoria, with main health campuses located at Shepparton, Tatura and Rushworth. The main facility in Shepparton is the major acute referral hospital for the sub region. Additional sites are also located in 6 other locations in the region. The health service provides a range of acute, subacute, mental health, aged, primary health and community services.
The existing team led by the Clinical Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is made up of 5 consultants joining a talented team of women’s health clinical nurse specialists, gynecology registrars and junior medical officers.

- Provide effective management of the Women’s Health Service
- Ensuring clinical leadership, risk minimisation and continual monitoring and quality improvement.
- Responsible for teaching, training and mentoring.
- Advocating the highest levels of clinical governance including audit and safe clinical practice Support the Clinical Director with Maternity Services, Theatre and Outpatient Managers to ensure clinical and admin objectives are met.

Selection criteria
- FRANZCOG or equivalent gained in either Ireland, UK, USA, Canada or South Africa.
- Competent in a wide range of obstetric and surgical procedures including advanced laparoscopic procedures.
- Experience and willingness to educate, teach undergrads, post grads, trainees and other medical staff.
- Must have capability to adopt new and emerging tech and science.
- Have an understanding of Clinical Risk Management and Quality Assurance & Improvement concepts.
