This metropolitan mental health service is seeking Consultant Psychiatrists to fill a number of vacancies at 2 of their major hospital sites. One hospital requires experience in emergency psychiatry, youth, child and adolescent psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, addictions, CL and general adult psychiatry. The other hospital requires psychiatrists with interests and experience in CL psychiatry, adult inpatient and community and older adult mental health.
Regardless of setting, you will be expected to lead a multidisciplinary team providing specialist mental health services to patients. Your responsibilities will include promoting patient safety, quality of care as well as providing leadership, training, supervision and education.

If you are a psychiatrist who has not trained in Australia, it is important you meet the medical college’s minimum requirements. These include:
- Training completed in either Ireland, UK, NZ, USA, Canada or South Africa.
- Applicants trained in Sri Lanka will be considered if they have completed 2 years training in Australia or NZ.
- A formal post in child and adolescent psychiatry during your training of at least 6 months.
