- This District Hospital is one of the larger sites offering inpatient care, maternity, surgery, palliative care, allied health, and emergency medicine. The hospital is well-supported, ensuring you'll have everything needed to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Role Overview
- As a Senior Medical Practitioner, you'll work independently within a multidisciplinary team to provide emergency and inpatient care.
- You'll collaborate with state-wide transport, telehealth, and mental health services to ensure care is provided in the best location for the patient.
- The role also involves providing leadership and mentoring to doctors-in-training and other senior staff, where applicable.
- You'll have the option to work up to 1/4 of their shifts in the Bunbury Hospital Emergency Department.
Essential requirements:
- Fellowship with either RACGP or ACRRM.
- Experience in emergency medicine, with the ability to work independently in rural and remote settings.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Current C or C-A Class drivers license.
Desirable requirements
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and research,
- Knowledge of relevant legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services, and OHS.
