Selection criteria
- FRANZCP or equivalent training completed in NZ, UK, Ireland, South Africa, USA, Canada.
- Applicants trained in Sri Lanka will be considered if they have completed their international placement in Australia or NZ.
- If trained in these countries outside of Australia you will have completed a 6 month C&A post in your training OR have at least 10 yrs consultant experience with track record in administration, research, management etc.
- Past experience in Acute Adult Mental Health is essential.
- Broad clinical knowledge of adult inpatient and Community psychiatry.
- Sound knowledge of principles of Recovery based clinical practice and integrated Mental Health Care.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities and evidence-based best practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision
- Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research within the mental health service.
