Australia's TGA approves Astrazeneca vaccine

On 16th February Australia's Therapeutic Drugs Administration (TGA) department has formally approved the Astrazeneca vaccine with a proviso over 65yr olds be given it on a case by case basis. The TGA said:

"The decision to immunise an elderly patient should be decided on a case-by-case basis with consideration of age, comorbidities and their environment taking into account the benefits of vaccination and potential risks.."

Latest stats to Monday 15th Feb 9pm:

National stats - 28,900 with 909 deaths.
