Our client is seeking a highly skilled Anatomical Pathologist to deliver timely, efficient, and high-quality diagnostic and consultative services across a statewide network. This role plays a key part in ensuring cost-effective service delivery while meeting the evolving clinical needs of referrers.
You will also contribute to the ongoing development of a unified, state-wide Anatomical Pathology service, helping shape frameworks and strategies aligned with best practice and consistent standards across all sites. Working closely with scientific, technical, and operational teams, you’ll support service excellence and play an active role in clinical liaison activities.
This position also involves supervising registrars and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing department.

Selection criteria includes but is not limited to:
- FRCPA or equivalent.
- Culturally competent care and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Track record of leadership, innovation, clinical governance, and teaching.
- Strong, contemporary expertise in Anatomical Pathology, including frozen sections, MDT participation, and involvement in an after-hours on-call roster
- A high level of professionalism, with sound clinical judgement and objectivity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in teaching, training, research, and service development
- A solid understanding of ISO 15189 and NATA Medical Testing Requirements, ensuring ongoing accreditation across a diverse laboratory network
- Willingness to participate in teaching and education initiatives as well as supervising medical staff
