This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading health service in Sydney. The service covers urban and suburban communities and manages eight public hospitals, providing care to almost 1 million people. It also operates 30 Child and Family Health Centres, 12 Community Health Centres and nine Oral Health Clinics; providing prevention, early intervention and community-based treatment, palliative care and rehabilitation services. This child and adolescent service covers an area around the Southern Metropolitan area of Sydney.

Opportunity highlights
- Provide care to kids in the community, working closely with other Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists and the multidisciplinary team.
- Clinical governance for the CAMHs team
- Liaison with medical teams regarding admitted adolescent patients.
- Care of kids admitted to the acute psychiatric ward, where appropriate
- Participate in undergrad and postgrad teaching, research, supervision etc.
Selection criteria
- FRANZCP or training completed in NZ, UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or South Africa.
- Extensive knowledge, clinical experience and skills in psychiatry.
- High level leadership, communication, collaborative and conflict resolution skills.
- Willingness to participate in internal teaching, education and research activities.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and professional ethics.
- An interest in the improvement of clinical governance systems.
- Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices
- Proven experience in delivering high quality care in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching.
- Collaborative skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing a high standard of clinical care in a public sector setting.
- Demonstrated experience in and commitment to supporting research activities.
