As Clinical Director Emergency Medicine, you will provide specialist expertise in emergency medicine and of clinical leadership as the unit director for ongoing development of a first-class rural Emergency Department service. This will include clinical and administrative management, supervision of medical staff and delivery of education and training in emergency medicine.

Selection criteria

 

  • FACEM or equivalent completed in either NZ, Ireland, UK, Canada or USA.
  • Recent relevant experience in emergency medicine. 
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead a multidisciplinary clinical team and provide medical officer supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact positively in a cross cultural work environment.
  • Evidence of commitment to continuing education, teaching, research and quality assurance activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
