Your contribution to this dynamic and well funded mental health service will be to provide clinical and strategic leadership in the provision of coordinated, high quality psychiatric services.
You will lead a team of 13 FTE consultant psychiatrists and be responsible for the professional governance of them and other medical staff in the service. The service is modeled on a community based, integrated model of treatment and care. Working alongside the executive you will collaborate on policy and strategy. You will also plan, develop and implement high quality clinical services. Further, you will ensure the provision of internal teaching programs to ensure the teaching of medical staff.

Selection criteria
*FRANZCP or equivalent specialist training gained in either NZ, UK, Ireland, USA, Canada or South Africa.
*Demonstrated experience in medical management and leadership, including evidence of the development and implementation of strategic plans, continuous improvement, and accreditation processes.
*First class communication skills with the ability to lead MDTs.
*Demonstrated experience in teaching and supervising medical staff.
*Applicants with tertiary qualifications in management or administration will be highly regarded.
