This regional health service is a leading healthcare provider in Victoria. It provides a range of acute services including psychiatry in and out patient care. It is affiliated with 2 leading universities for undergrad and postgrad medical education.

- The Clinical Director not only leads the unit in clinical care of the patients but is instrumental in the training of doctors in training and students.
Your goal as Clinical Director will include:
- Developing and fostering patient centred care philosophy.
- Managing clinical operations in a safe and effective manner.
- Providing clinical oversight to Consultant Psychiatrists, Registrars, mental health managers, DiTs, nurses etc.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary approach to care.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and management.
- Medical workforce management and strategy.
- Education & training.
- Continuous quality improvement.
0.4 -0.5 FTE non-clinical time is an indicative requirement for the role.

Selection criteria
- FRANZCP or equivalent gained in UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, NZ or South Africa.
- Significant experience within a public healthcare mental health service/hospital.
- Experience in quality improvement projects.
- Management experience.
