Remuneration breakdown

 

  • Package up to $620k. Includes:
  • Base salary.
  • Private practice allowance.
  • Clinical director allowance.
  • $23k professional development allowance.
  • Up to $28k car allowance.
  • 12.75% superannuation.
  • $620k excludes oncall and other allowances. 

 

Clinical setting and environment

 

  • Lead a team of 5 radiologists and 4 FTE consultants.
  • Mentor advanced specialty trainees and 2 unaccredited registrars.
  • Services include General Radiography, CT, Ultrasound, and MRI.
  • Also covers Fluoroscopy, Intervention, and Cardiac Catheter Lab.
  • Oversee remote rural reporting for Proserpine and Bowen.
  • Participate in the Unit roster to ensure regional service capability.
  • Modern, state-of-the-art RANZCR accredited training site

Job scope inlcudes but is not limited to

 

  • As a senior leader, participate in hospital health service strategy and organisation.
  • Deliver expert clinical services.
  • Foster and promote exceptional standards in the provision of clinical and public heath services. 
  • Participate and lead multidisciplinary team meetings, consultant team meetings and clinical governance.
  • Help to shape, implement and participate in teaching and education projects.
  • Help to drive clinical excellence by fostering a culture of research.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and students.

 

Selection criteria includes but is not limited to

 

  • FRANZCR or if SIMG, already assessed by RANZCR as partially comparable or substantially comparable. 
  • Demonstrated experience in most modalities in radiology.
  • Experience in clinical supervision and teaching of junior medical staff, nursing staff and 
  • medical students
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in implementing the concepts of patient safety and quality.
  • A collaborative and harmonious approach to leadership and working relationships.
