  • ED, medical and surgical inpatient beds, maternity unit, paediatric unit, subacute rehabilitation unit, critical care unit, operating theatres including day surgery, renal dialysis chairs, oncology area, HITH and mental health.
  • 3 operating theatres and 1 procedure room performing approx. 4k operations and procedures per year.
  • 6 bed critical care unit. 
  • Join a department with 6 FANZCAs, 3 GP Anaesthetists, Rural Generalist Anaesthesia & GP Registrar. 
  • The department is experienced in supervising international medical graduates (SIMG) through their clinical assessment period.
  • FANZCA or SIMG already assessed as substantially comparable by ANZCA.
  • Demonstrated effective clinical communication skills.
  • Demonstrated in Anaesthesia practice and evidence of competence in skills relevant to regional hospital practice, including trauma and emergency situations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership.
  • Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
