Your new job
- This major hospital provides tertiary and quaternary care paeds and adolescent health care for the most medically complex patients in Victoria.
- New leadership role - great job scope to provide clinical leadership and governance to unit clinicians.
- Provide assessment and clinical intervention to infants and children, their carers and families, both face to face and via telehealth.
- Work in tandem with the Unit Team Coordinator and with first class mdt.
- Collaborate effectively with community consultant psychiatrists and hospital based infant psychiatrists and associated staff, service leaders to ensure first-class inter-disciplinary clinical care.
- Supervise clinical staff, including trainees and contribute to the clinical governance of the new unit and form strong partnerships with paediatricians.

What you'll need to succeed.
- FRANZCP or equivalent subspecialty qualifications and/or experience in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Excellent teamwork, collaborative and communication capabilities.
- Knowledge of contemporary models of care.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, providing leadership, encouragement and inspiration.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, and research.
- Ability to provide supervision to clinical staff and participate in internal education programs.
- Excellent clinical skills and a commitment to professional development
- Willingness and ability to undertake continuous quality improvement projects.
- A commitment to ethical medical practice.
- Willingness to be on an on-call roster.
