Grafton Hospital provides care to over 16, 000 inpatients each year.  The General Medicine service is a level 4 service. Each year over 4,700 surgical procedures take place. 35,000 people present to its ED each year.  Other services include General Medicine, ICU, Coronary Care, Stroke, Chemotherapy Satellite Unit, Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Orthopaedics, Paeds, Women’s Care Unit and other support services.

Grafton Hospital is part of a healthcare infrastructure network which sits in a beautiful part of New South Wales. The Clarence River connects the major communities in the area which is one of the fastest growing regions in the State. From Grafton, the Gold Coast is 3hrs to the North, 2hrs from Byron Bay, 1hr from Coffs Harbour.

Selection criteria

*FRACP or equivalent training completed in either the UK, Ireland, South Africa, NZ, USA, Canada. If you have completed your training in Sri Lanka and completed your international placement in either AUstralia or NZ you are also welcome to apply.

*Excellent contemporary knowledge in general medicine. 

*First class communication skills. 

*Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.

*Availability to participate in an on-call roster.

 

A salary package of up to $470k will be offered based on years of experience following the completion of your training.
