Opportunity highlights
The service provides comprehensive medical oncology care, supported by a highly experienced nursing team and a dedicated day infusion unit operating Monday to Friday. Radiotherapy is delivered offsite through well-established partnerships with other Northern Queensland centres - Mackay and Townsville (tertiary) - with the service continuing to grow its regional reach and participation in clinical trials.

Selection criteria
- FRACP or equivalent gained in NZ, UK, Ireland, South Africa, USA, Canada. Applicants already assessed as substantially comparable will be highly regarded.
- Expert clinical knowledge, proficiency and skills across general medicine and subspecialties
- Demonstrated first class communication skills.
- Ability to provide medical care in a multidisciplinary environment.
- High level ability to provide comprehensive and concise documentation of clinical work.
- Ability to direct the process of assessment, admission, care, transfer and discharge of patients.
- Willingness to work on the oncall roster.
