
This is a networked O&G consultant post covering a major referal centre, its sister hospital going through a major expansion, and a third with outreach to regional communities.
The sister hospital's maternity service delivers around 600 babies a year across modern birth suites, a dedicated antenatal and postnatal ward, and a neonatal nursery. The main referral centre for this part of Queensland - is a 305-bed facility with a full specialist complement including ICU and oncology. Rural outreach is delivered through a combination of telehealth and in-person visits.
Job scope
Ward rounds, outpatient clinics, theatre lists, and after-hours on-call. You'll supervise registrars, medical students, midwives, and allied health, and contribute to clinical governance, audit, and service planning.
What you need
FRANZCOG, or an overseas specialist qualification eligible for AHPRA specialist registration. SIMG applicants already assessed by RANZCOG or registered via the ESP will be highly regarded.
