Your new hospital.

 

This service provides care to a catchment population of over 100k people. In the year 2020-2021 784 babies were born. The Women's and Maternity Services unit has 14 beds and 5 birthing suites across two campuses. The gynaecology team provides specialist women's health services for a wide range of issues including obstetrics, pregnancy choices, childbirth, hormone disorders and fertility issues. There are 6 FTE obs and gyn specialists.

 

 

Your new role.

 

  • Reporting to the clinical director you will provide direct specialist patient centred care to obstetric and gynaecological patients, including operative gynaecological surgical services. 
  • Supervise and train obstetrics and gynaecological registrars/HMOs.
  • Lead clinical services and clinical governance activities.
  • Participate in ongoing Quality Improvement and Clinical Risk Management activities of the obstetrics service, including relevant clinical audits.
  • Ensure a safe and collaborative culture in the workplace. 

 

 

What you'll need to succeed

 

  • FRANZCOG or equivalent.
  • Have excellent and broad obs and gyn experiences to enable confident clinical practice within a regional medical context.
  • Have a demonstrable commitment to clinical governance activities including quality improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate first class communication, conflict resolution and team building skills. 
  • Demonstrate experience and interest in teaching and training.
