Selection criteria
- Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine or recognised equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the public health management of communicable diseases.
- Proven experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of public health programs.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Experience in or interest in working in cross-cultural environments.
- Experience in or interest in rural public health.
- Willingness to travel - via 4WD , fixed wing aircraft - for outreach.
While the position is based in Broome, the successful candidate may be required to provide outreach services across various hospitals and clinics throughout the Kimberley region.
