
A number of regional services in Western Australia are recruiting Consultants in Public Health Medicine.
This advert is about a job which allows a public health specialist to choose whether to relocate to Port Hedland/Karratha or Kalgoorlie but will be required to travel between all sites as part of the duties in the role.
The package is up to $684, 457. There is a special weighting for these regions.

Selection criteria
- Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine or recognised equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the public health management of communicable diseases.
- Proven experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of public health programs.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Experience in or interest in working in cross-cultural environments.
- Experience in or interest in rural public health.
- Willingness to travel - via 4WD , fixed wing aircraft - for outreach.
While the position is based in Port Hedland/Karratha or Kalgoorlie the successful candidate may be required to provide outreach services across various hospitals and clinics throughout these regions.
