Package: Up to $555k plus oncall, recall and other applicable allowances.

  • Base salary between $$182,000 – $305,000
  • Private practice allowance between $$91,000 – $152,500
  • Professional development allowance $21k.
  • Car allowance $21 - $28k
  • Superannuation 12.5%.

 

Oncall, recall, penalty shift allowances are calculated as you earn them.

Job scope

This position reports to the clinical director and has oversight of junior clinical staff.

 

You will provide comprehensive surgical services across a broad range of vascular conditions and patient age groups. You will work collaboratively within the Vascular Surgery team helping to foster a collegiate, supportive and positive workplace culture, while supporting the Director of Vascular Surgery in service development, clinical leadership and workforce management. This role will involve leading the delivery of high-quality patient care, including the management of complex clinical situations, as well as providing professional leadership across relevant specialty teams. You will contribute to education, research and training activities, support clinical governance and patient safety initiatives, and ensure learnings from incidents and complaints are shared across the department.


 

Selection criteria 

 

  • FRACS or with training completed in UK (CCT), Ireland, Canada, USA or NZ. 
  • Substantial experience in vascular surgery.
  • First class communication skills.
  • Personable approach to team work.
  • Willingness to participate in clinical governance activities.
