Consultant Psychiatrist - Frontline Services - Sydney

 

 

  • Western Sydney suburban location.
  • Frontline services.
  • Package up to $400k - current new agreement being negotiated , will see increases. 

 

 

This role covers frontline services and includes two days in the Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (an inpatient facility focusing on brief admissions based at Nepean MH Hospital Campus) as well as support of the Triage and Assessment Centre (a groundbreaking Emergency bypass service based at Nepean again) and the Access Team (based in Penrith). This is a fantastic chance to work at a major Sydney hospital and mental health service with contemporary world class facilities.

Selection criteria

 

  • You are committed to your and your colleague's professional development and reflective practice. 
  • You have expertise in providing high quality mental health services in psychiatric emergency care.
  • You committed to person-centred, recovery oriented, carer and family inclusive, trauma informed care. 
  • You can lead, inspire and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary and allied health teams. 
  • You have first class verbal and written communication skills.
  • You can demonstrate experience in quality improvement and clinical governance activities. 
  • You can demonstrate skills and commitment to teaching and supervision of colleagues and non-medical colleagues. 
  • You must have a driving licence.

 


Applicants who don't have FRANZCP will be eligible for substantially comparable assessment via RANZCP traditional assessment and accelerated pathway or expedited specialist pathway for psychiatry.
