This is a fantastic chance to secure a 1.0 FTE post as a consultant psychiatrist at a major Sydney mental health service. Sydney has a rich choice of independent schooling, with a large number of faith based or secular institutions located throughout the suburbs. Long term, you'll have the chance to access Sydney's lucrative private practice settings.

As the city has grown wealth has shifted from the eastern to the western suburbs and the major corporations and employers have followed this shift by relocating corporate HQs out to the western suburbs.
The position is primarily based at the Mental Health Centre, at the Hospital, and supports a Triage and Assessment Centre, an innovative, interdisciplinary emergency diversion and community walk-in facility.
Here, you will provide timely and patient centred care to people presenting for specialist care within an acute mental health inpatient setting and community mental health settings. There is a focus on assessment and care in crisis, emergency and brief intervention contexts and the role supports new Safe Assessment Units in the Hospital ED.

As part of their non-clinical duties, you'll have the opportunity to thrive with quality, safety and research opportunities.
