You will join a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and allied health professionals delivering high-quality, recovery-focused, and trauma-informed care.
Your role will include providing psychiatric care in various settings — including outreach clinics, young people’s residences, and emergency departments across the region. You will also contribute to multidisciplinary reviews, provide consultation to other health professionals, and play a key part in service development and clinical governance.

This position is ideal for a psychiatrist who values clinical impact, professional collaboration, and rural healthcare innovation.
Generally, the successful candidate will have:
- Fellowship of the RANZCP or eligibility via RANZCP accelerated or ESP pathways (UK CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry)
- Demonstrated experience in regional or rural CAMHS.
- Commitment to teaching, supervision, and continuous professional development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across medical and community networks.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rosters.
- Proven contribution to quality improvement and safety initiatives.
