Bathurst is a historic and affluent town - just a 2hr drive to Sydney. It hosts one of New South Wales premier private schools: Scots College. It is a major agricultural centre, also has a university and every year hosts Australia's most famous car racing festival. 

 

 

This role is with the Bathurst Health Service, a major part of the Western NSW local health district. Your place of work is a Level 4, 120 bed acute hospital that services a rapidly growing population and is about to undergo a $200M redevelopment to bring new and expanded services into this fantastic region.

Bathurst provides general medicine, allied health, ambulatory care, coronary care, emergency medicine (26k pa), ICU, mental health drug & alcohol, obstetrics & gynaecology, oncology, paediatrics, pathology, radiology, rehabilitation and surgery services.  The service also has active hospital in the home and primary community health services.

There is an excellent partnership with the University of Western Sydney and Charles Sturt University, conducting research and providing training opportunities for medical students. The facility has a strong partnerships with several Universities, providing student clinical placements, education and patient referral opportunities.
