Obs + Gyn opportunity in Sydney

An opportunity is available for an Obstetrics & Gynaecology consultant in one of New South Wales’ largest and most dynamic health services. These are permanent full-time roles with consultants splitting clinical time between Nepean Hospital in Penrith and either Blue Mountains or Hawkesbury Hospitals.

 

 

The positions offer exposure to both tertiary and regional practice environments, providing excellent breadth and variety across Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Consultants will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment delivering expert patient care while participating fully in on-call rosters across one or more sites as required.

 

 

The service offers strong opportunities for professional development and subspecialty exposure, including Maternal Fetal Medicine, robotic surgery, complex obstetrics and advanced gynaecological care. Consultants will also have opportunities to contribute to teaching, supervision and clinical research activities across the network.

Selection Criteria

  • FRANZCOG or equivalent specialist qualification.
  • UK trained applicants eligible under the expedited specialist pathway are highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology appropriate to Staff Specialist level.
  • Commitment to quality assurance and evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff.
  • Professional approach consistent with Senior Medical Practitioner standards.
  • Interest in supporting clinical, applied or basic research activities.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rosters across multiple sites if required.
