Job goals include

  • Provide first class leadership in the delivery of high quality Psychiatric Services.
  • Shape strategy, meet clinical governance goals, direct HS & risk, manage & develop workforce.
  • Undertake special projects, provide leadership cover, participate in on-call roster.

Selection criteria includes but is not limited to the following:

You will 

  • hold FRANZCP or have equivalent overseas qualifications, trained in either Ireland, UK, NZ, South Africa, Canada, USA or if trained in Sri Lanka you will have worked 2 years in either Australia or NZ.
  • Have held senior leadership posts in mental health services in the past. 
  • Be a first-class communicator.
  • Be a proven motivator and leader of clinical teams.
  • Have high level negotiation management and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Experience of working with financial budgets.
  • Solid knowledge of quality management practices. 
  • Understand the political and socio-economic factors which can impact on mental health services.
