Mackay Base Hospital is a state-of-the-art regional hospital located in a sunny coastal setting, just a 1.5-hour flight from Brisbane. An opportunity is available for a Paediatric Consultant, assessed by RACP as substantially comparable. Mackay Base Hospitals Child & Adolescent Health Unit provides 12 funded paediatric beds plus a special care nursery.
Your Role
- As Paediatrician (Staff or Senior Staff Specialist) you will:
- Provide high-quality clinical paediatric services across inpatient and community settings.
- Lead service delivery in child, adolescent and neonatal care.
- Contribute to education and supervision of junior doctors, nursing and allied health staff.
- Participate in quality improvement, audit, research and service development.
- Work in a family-centred healthcare model with opportunities for academic collaboration.
Remuneration Package Highlights
- Up to $571k + on - call/overtime a package which includes:
- Motor Vehicle allowance $23-$28k depending on salary band - paid.
