Radiologist - Queensland

An hour flight from Brisbane. Ten minutes from the Whitsundays.

Package

• $447K – $572K total remuneration (wages go up July 2026 and July 2027).
• Permanent full-time - 80 hour fortnight. Superannuation minimum 12.75%.
• Three and a half weeks professional development leave plus $22K PD allowance.
• Motor vehicle allowance on top of between $25-28k per annum.
• Package excludes oncall, recall, overtime, working public holiday allowances. 
• It's one of the stronger packages for a regional Queensland city.

The role

• General radiology.
• CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, General Radiography. If you've trained broadly and you're good across the board, this job and department is ideal for you.
• Interventional experience is a bonus. 

The team

There are currently Five radiologists and the department is a RANZCR-accredited training site. Trainees to supervise and teach. 

The location

Mackay sits on the Queensland coast. Beaches, reef, tropical climate, good schools including private and affordable housing costs compared to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane etc.People move here and wonder why they waited or didn't consider it initially.

What you need

• FRANZCR or equivalent. SIMG Applicants already assessed by RANZCR will be highly regarded. Partial comparability candidates will be supported and will thrive.
• Excellent recent experience across core modalities.
• First class communication skills. 
• Commitment to clinical governance, teaching and collaboration.
