Key responsibilities
- Provide first class clinical care and leadership across 4 major mental health hubs.
- Mentor, teach and supervise undergrad and post grad colleagues.

- Provide expert leadership, advice, and consultation to GPs, healthcare professionals, service providers, carers and other stakeholders.
This public health service provides services adjacent to Perth’s metropolitan boundaries extending North and East into parts of WA. The mental health service provides care to a broad range of the population. Clinical programs include Adult Mental Health (18-65yrs), CAMHS (0-18yrs), Older Age Mental Health (5yrs+) and a Youth service (15-24yrs). The service also includes an Aboriginal Mental Health Program (all ages).
The MDT includes psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, community mental health nurses and Aboriginal liaison staff and so on. These teams are locally based and based in the 4 main towns in the region. The local population tends to access more complex, higher acuity services from the metropolitan hospitals in Perth.
Selection criteria
- FRANZCP or equivalent gained in UK (CCT) to satisfy RANZCP accelerated or ESP pathways.
- Applicants already assessed by RANZCP (substantially comparable) or ESP will be highly regarded.
- Specialist qualifications in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Ability to provide clinical leadership.
- Capability to provide undergrad and postgraduate teaching and supervision.
- First class communication skills.
- Ability to foster, develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships.
