Bendigo Hospital is a state-of-the-art regional facility, completed in 2018, with approximately 700 beds. It provides comprehensive services to a large catchment and is known for its modern infrastructure and collaborative clinical environment. An opportunity is available for a Consultant in Emergency Medicine to deliver high-quality care across a busy emergency department, while taking an active role in clinical leadership, supervision, and teaching of junior medical staff. The position offers the chance to work within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, managing a broad mix of acute and complex presentations alongside critical care services. 

 


Remuneration package highlights 

  • Total package of up to $430k, which includes:
  • 38hr working week
  • Private Practice allowance 
  • 12% Superannuation 
  • $30k Professional Development allowance
  • 2 week professional development leave

Selection Criteria 

  • FACEM or assessed by ACEM as substantially comparable.
  • Willingness to supervise and teach advanced trainees, junior medical staff, and students
  • First class communication skills
  • Willingness to participate in on - call roster
