- Package of up to $530k plus oncall allowances. Includes base salary, PPA, car and CPD allowances and superannuation.
Package includes managerial allowance, $22k CPD allowance, and up to $28k car allowance and private practice allowances.
We're helping to recruit a permanent full-time Community Psychiatrist for the Community stream at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. This role offers specialist community-based psychiatric care, centred on recovery, continuity, and keeping patients well outside hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultant-level psychiatric assessment and treatment for community-based patients.
- Coordination and liaison with GPs, allied/primary care health, and other care providers, stakeholders etc.
- Development of contemporary, proactive community care models.
- Clinical responsibility for caseload, with timely review of complex or high-risk cases.
- Supervision and mentorship of registrars, PHOs, and junior medical staff.
- Participation in quality assurance, clinical governance, risk management, and audit.
- Involvement in medical education and training activities.
- After-hours and on-call roster participation.

You'll be primarily located at our Southport and Robina facilities, with the occasional opportunity to work across other sites within Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service as operational needs arise. Selection Criteria
- FRANZCP, or overseas equivalent acceptable to RANZCP.
- Applicants already assessed by RANZCP or ESP will be highly considered.
- First class communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience delivering psychiatric care in a community or outpatient mental health setting
- Excellent clinical supervision and teaching abilities.
- Commitment to recovery-oriented, multidisciplinary community practice
